CVC Chile belongs to the Christian Vision Foundation, a non-profit organization with headquarters in Birmingham, England, founded on biblical principles by Bob Edmiston in December 1988.
The station was acquired in 1996 and began remodelling. A group of engineers of various nationalities began the work of "reconstruction" of the Short Wave transmitters. In 1997 the first staff were hired: engineers, operators, gardeners, attendants, and so on. The first test transmissions were performed during that year, and on 31st July 1998 the first satellite signal from "Voz Cristiana" was received, which was transmitted live from Miami, United States.
Voz Cristiana was officially launched on October 2, 1998. Last year (2008) was the celebration of the 10 years of life of the station, now known as CVC.
